GlinkBot
The short answer
GlinkBot is worth considering if you want to organize AI bots on a computer you manage, choose supported providers, and reach the same workspace from Android. It is not a drop-in replacement for every Grok Bot capability. The first decision is not which mascot you prefer: it is who runs the host and what happens when that host is unavailable.
This guide uses “Grokbot” to refer to Cursor’s Grok Bot agent product, not simply a conversation with the Grok model. Connecting a supported Grok provider in another application is not the same as subscribing to that product.
Start with the hosting trade-off
Cursor describes Grok Bot as agents using a persistent cloud computer, with work continuing when your laptop is closed. Its documentation describes coordination between bots and saving demonstrated workflows as skills. Those are useful reasons to consider its managed service. Read Cursor’s product documentation.
GlinkBot starts with your desktop workspace. For the normal desktop-and-phone setup, your host must remain running and reachable. Android does not take over execution when the computer sleeps. A configured remote environment can help with particular tasks, but it does not make an unavailable host available.
If you do not want to maintain an available computer, evaluate a managed service first. If you want to configure the host and its connected engines yourself, the additional setup may be a worthwhile trade.
Use the provider that fits each bot
In GlinkBot, select from the engines you have configured and the models those engines expose. For example, keep a research bot separate from a coding bot and give each its own instructions and conversation threads. You do not have to turn every task into one long chat.
A supported provider may require its own sign-in, subscription, API key, or local setup. GlinkBot does not convert one provider subscription into access to another. Check the actual model picker and provider settings rather than assuming every model is available. See the real product screens.
What you can do from Android
The Android companion connects to your GlinkBot desktop or server. Use it to continue conversations, send context, and return to the bot responsible for a task. Pairing authorizes access to that host; it is not a separate hosted-agent account.
Start with one computer and one bot before relying on it away from your desk. Test the connection you intend to use, including what happens when the host sleeps. Our Android setup walkthrough explains that workflow.
Compare the whole cost, not just the installer
Cursor’s documentation links Grok Bot access to eligible Cursor plans or individual SuperGrok subscriptions. Plan details and allowances can change, so check its current billing information rather than relying on a price quoted in an old comparison. Check the official access and billing overview.
GlinkBot pricing has not been announced. AI-provider usage, optional cloud computers, voice services, and connected tools can incur separate charges. A small test before switching
- Choose a supported desktop preview and read its signing notes.
- Connect one provider you are authorized to use.
- Create a bot with a narrow task: summarize a document you supply and return a draft for review.
- Pair Android and continue the same conversation.
- Check the result, permissions, provider usage, and whether maintaining the host suits you.
